About Us
InfraTransProject was established in 1991 as an initiative of a small group of engineers covering different disciplines who had worked together in state research, study, and design institutions for more than 20 years. The market economy was a challenge for everyone in the early ‘90s in the post-communist Albania. However, InfraTransProject stood as an alternative to the collapsing state institutes and it became soon a point of reference for transport infrastructure projects in the country having the necessary experience, expertise, and knowledge.
As a pioneering company in the field, professionalism, and passion, are the values we pride ourselves of the most. We continuously encourage innovation and study for new technologies. Keeping up with the global science development has made us known for our adequate solutions and ideas. With a large portfolio consisting of important clients like the Albanian Government, EIB, EBRD, World Bank etc., ITP has steadily grown a considerable reputation in Albania and abroad over the years. Cooperation with International Financing Institutions has not only grown the team professionally, but it has also increased self-esteem setting higher performance standard expectations. Dr. Eng. Faruk KABA
Senior Technical Director
With 47 years of road and highway study and design experience, he is the most experienced engineer of this field in Albania. More than 3000km of road design hold his signature. He graduated in 1968 from the Polytechnic University of Tirana in the Civil Engineering Faculty and was assigned the Paving department of the Roads and Railways Study and Design State Institute in 1972. From 1980 until 1990 he was Director of the Study and Design Directory of the Ministry of Communications. He established InfraTransProject in 1991 with a group of experienced colleagues while still working in the state Institute of Roads and Railways Study and Design and the state Institute for Construction Technologies as Responsible for Technical Standards in Road and Highway Design sector. In 1994, after several years of efforts to establish a state agency for managing the road network of the country, he became the first General Director of the General Roads Directory. From 1995 to 2018 he holded the position of Managing Director and Senior Technical Director in the company. He is permanent Member of the National Council of Roads headed by the Prime Minister. He established with a group of consulting engineers in 2000 the Albanian Association of Consulting Engineers and has been since then its President. AACE has organised so far the only two major international events on roads (The First Albanian Congress on Roads and the Second International Congress of Roads in Albania). He has been member of the New York Science Academy since 2004. Since 1985 he holds the Doctor of Science degree (PhD) From 1984 to 1993 he has lectured “Roads and their Construction” in the Polytechnic University of Tirana
Dorian KABA
Administrator (CEO)
Graduated in Management and Law he is the company’s official administrator since January 2018 covering operations management, PR & marketing, legal, human resources, biding/tendering procedures and logistics management. In addition he is the Quality Manager monitoring and applying the ISO standards (ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004) in the company activities. Has taken active part in project management especially in international projects or with foreign clients and/or partners
Eng. Rezart ARKAXHIU
Deputy Managing Director Highway & Structural Engineer
A young but already quite experienced engineer who has climbed the steps to the top of InfraTransProject thanks to his dedication and professional abilities. Graduated as MSc in Structural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Tirana in the Civil Engineering Faculty in 2008, he has already accumulated a considerable number of projects in his personal experience. In 2013 he also finished the MSC degree in Transport Systems Planning, Traffic Planning and Road Signage.
Eng. Piro BEDO
Head of Structural Department
Eng. Bedo is together with Dr. Eng. Kaba one of the founders of InfraTransProject. He is also the most experienced engineer in the field of road and railway structures in Albania with over 50 years of experience, period in which he has contributed in various state institutions and private sector. He has graduated from the Polytechnic University of Tirana in the Civil Engineering Faculty. He has served as transport infrastructure project supervisor for more than two decades in different state institutions and then has been involved in the private sector. An extended expertise in structures and especially in bridges has put his name on the top of Albanian structural engineers. During the 2nd International Congress on Roads in Albania, he was awarded the “Karl Gega”- The Pride of Albanian Engineering prize for the special contribution in the development of the country’s structural engineering and the special contribution for future generations of structural engineers.
Econ. Brunilda TOPI
Finance Manager Executive Secretary
Graduated in Economy in the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy in 2005, she has joined the company in 2018. Her long management experience is an asset to the growing activity of the firm not only in the financial sector but also thanks to her organizational skills. She plays a key role in preparation of bids in public and other procurement procedures. Ms. Topi is the Finance Mnager and Executive Secretary.
Eng. Tefik JEGENI
Hydrology Engineer
Another from the founding members of the staff, Eng. Jegeni is an expert in Hydro-meteorology with an experience of 48 years. He has served for several decades in the state Hydrometeorologic Institute as engineer and more recently as member of the Scientific Council of this Institute. All InfraTransProject hydrometeorologic studies hold his signature since its establishment.
Eng. Agim KABA
Land Surveyor Technical Director
Our land surveyor has more than 48 years of experience in geodesy studies. He graduated from the the Civil Engineering Faculty of the Polytechnic University of Tirana. He uses the lates technology in land suveying and has an extended database on Albanian territory.
Arch. Entela KOJA
Senior Architect & Urban Planner.
Graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Polytechnic University of Tirana (1992) and the University of Toronto (1999) as well as several training and specialisation courses in real estate evaluation, environment systems management etc. An experienced expert in architecture and in urban and spatial planning, landscape design and environmental systems management etc. With the many projects on her personal CV, she has accumulated a large expertise, becoming a valuable asset for the company and contributing in several projects with professionalism and dedication.
Eng. Ylli DERVISHAJ
Railway Engineer
Eng. Dervishaj is one of the most experienced Railway experts in Albania with about 50 years railway consultancy services performed between govenment design institutes and private sector engagements. During the years of centralized economy he was in managing position for many years and afterwards his services were used both by the state institute and private sector despite the lower amount of investments during the last 25 years. He has also gained with the years, considerable expertise in road and highway design.
Eng. Ermir GODO
Structural & Highway Engineer
One of the most talented young engineers of the firm who has developed design and project management skills in a very short time. Starting as support structural engineer he soon engaged in road projects while working closely with the more experienced staff to become one of the promissing values of the company.
Eng. Blerina HOXHALLARI
Structural Engineer
Another talented engineer with demonstrated excellent results in her work despite the short experience as engineer. Her engagement in structural design and calculations has enhanced our capacities and performance.
Eng. Rezar KUMBARO
Highway Engineer & Urban Planer Project Manager
Graduated in Urban Planning and Architechture from the Civil Engineering Faculty of the Polytechnic University of Tirana he has then specialized highway design and transport planning. He holds also a Masters Degree in Infrastructure Planning from the Technical University of Stutgart in Germany. Mr. Kumbar has a long experience in Project Management, covering this task in several projects, especially the ones financed by international bodies.

Hydro-technical Engineer
Graduated in Hydro-technical Engineering at Civil Engineering Faculty of the Polytechnic University of Tirana he also holds a Masters Degree in this field. Eng. Papaj is experienced in planing, design and supervision of works for hydrotechnical infrastructure in urban and rural areas.
Eng. Kujtim PROSEKU
Electrical Engineer
Eng. Proseku is an expert in electrical engineering. He graduated in 1968 from the Electric Engineering Faculty of the University of Tirana. With an important and long experience in various sectors of the deffence and military sector he is one of the oldest members of InfraTransProject covering the electrical design in roads, airports, tunnels and other studies performed by the firm.
